God exists \u2013 Hebrews 11:6 \u201cBelieve that He is\u201d<br \/>\nThe God of Scripture is the only real and true God who exists<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A deep conviction that God is real.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. Apply an understanding of who this God really is to life:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cO God, who is like unto Thee!\u201d -Psalm 71:19b<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>Infinite \u2013 Limitless (Jeremiah 23:24; 1 Kings 8:27)<\/li>\n<li>Holy \u2013 Separate, set-apart, absolute purity (Isaiah 6:3; 1 Peter 1:16)<\/li>\n<li>Eternal \u2013 Everlasting, always was, always is, always will be (Deuteronomy 33:27)<\/li>\n<li>Immutable \u2013 Unchanging (Malachi 3:6)<\/li>\n<li>Omniscient \u2013 All knowing (Psalm 139:3)<\/li>\n<li>Omnipresent \u2013 Everywhere present (Psalm 139:7)<\/li>\n<li>Omnipotent \u2013 All powerful (Revelation 19:6)<\/li>\n<li>Righteous \/ Just \u2013 Always does what is just and right (Deuteronomy 32:4)<\/li>\n<li>Faithful \u2013 Firm, certain, trustworthy, dependable (Deuteronomy 7:9)<\/li>\n<li>Wise \u2013 The ability to rightly apply knowledge (1 Timothy 1:17; Jude 25)<\/li>\n<li>Sovereign \u2013 Absolute control, supreme authority and sole ruler\u00a0(Psalm 135:6)<\/li>\n<li>Merciful \u2013 Compassion, pity, not getting what we deserve (Ephesians 2:4)<\/li>\n<li>Gracious \u2013 Unmerited favor, getting what we don\u2019t deserve (Ephesians 2:7, 8)<\/li>\n<li>Love \u2013 Seeks the highest good of the one loved, unconditional, sacrificial (1 John 4:8)<\/li>\n<li>Wrath -Righteous indignation at all evil, execution of judgment on unrighteousness (Romans 1:18)<\/li>\n<li>Incomprehensible \u2013 No one can remotely understand and comprehend God (Isaiah 55:8)<\/li>\n<li>Glorious &#8211; Weighted down with brilliance, brightness, radiance, shining (Psalm 8:1)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3. What the reality of God\u2019s existence means to you personally:<\/p>\n<p>A. God knows all about you<\/p>\n<p>B. God absolutely loves you<\/p>\n<p>C. God has a plan for your life (that plan unfolds in the pages of Scripture)<br \/>\nConform you to the image of His Son \u2013 Romans 8:29<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This begins with salvation<\/li>\n<li>Serve Him with your life \u2013 Ephesians 2:10; 4:11, 12; Matthew 28:19, 20<\/li>\n<li>Glorify Him in all you do \u2013 Revelation 4:11; 1 Corinthians 10:31<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>4. How God is completely missed<\/p>\n<p>A. Going through the motions<br \/>\nB. Complacency<br \/>\nC. Not taking sin against God seriously<br \/>\nD. Not being intentional about your relationship with Him<br \/>\nE. Not being intentional about spiritual growth<br \/>\nF. Not making God\u2019s plan \u2013 a part of your plans<br \/>\nG. Atmospheric revival but unchanged lives<br \/>\nWarning About Demon Faith &#8211; Scripture: James 2:19<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The devils (demons) believe and tremble<\/li>\n<li>Counterfeit Faith \u2013 Faith that does not result in salvation<\/li>\n<li>They believe in God<\/li>\n<li>They face His judgment \u2013 Matthew 8:29b<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What is Demon Faith?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Belief in the one true God and tremble at its implications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Demons know the identity and truth about Jesus<br \/>\nDemon Quotes:<br \/>\n\u201cI know Thee who Thou art, the Holy One of God\u201d &#8211; Luke 4:34b<br \/>\n\u201cThou art Christ the Son of God\u201d &#8211; Luke 4:41<br \/>\n\u201cJesus I know\u201d &#8211; Acts 19:15<br \/>\nDemons have a belief that does not change their direction<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demons tremble but do not repent<\/li>\n<li>Saving faith brings repentance, which results in change<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2 Reasons Demon Faith does not result in Salvation:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Demons believe in God, but are in rebellion against Him<br \/>\nOne third of heavens angels joined Lucifer in rebellion against God<\/li>\n<li>Demons believe in God, but want nothing to do with Him<br \/>\nDemon Quote: \u201cLet us alone, what have we to do with Thee, Thou Jesus of Nazareth\u201d-Luke 4:34a<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here are the completed notes from the Sunday Morning Worship Service August 7, 2016: Scripture: Hebrews 11:6 Wake up to the presence of the living God! 1.
