but your walk talks louder than your talk talks.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Here are the completed notes from the morning service August 2, 2015:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Scripture: \u00a0Colossians 2:6<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>1. \u00a0As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord<\/h3>\n<h4>A. \u00a0Personal reception of the Lord<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Point in time that you saw your self as a sinner unable to save yourself<\/li>\n<li>You believed the Gospel\n<ul>\n<li>God loves you<\/li>\n<li>Christ shed His blood for us when He died on the cross<\/li>\n<li>Jesus resurrected<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You personally appropriated Christ for yourself\n<ul>\n<li>Turning from sin &#8211; repentence<\/li>\n<li>Trusted Jesus for your forgiveness and eternal life in heaven<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>B. \u00a0Confident of that decision being real based upon Biblical truth<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Since that time God has changed your life &#8211; II Corinthians 5:17<\/li>\n<li>No longer comfortable in your sin &#8211; John 16:7-8, Hebrews 12:5-8<\/li>\n<li>Desire to be with God&#8217;s people &#8211; I John 3:14<\/li>\n<li>Desire to obey the Word of God &#8211; I John 2:3-4<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2. \u00a0So walk ye in Him<\/h3>\n<p>To walk in Christ is to live a life that is patterned after His<\/p>\n<h4>A. \u00a0Determine the Reality &#8211; Are you a fan of Christ or an authentic follower of Christ?<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>It&#8217;s not that fans don&#8217;t want a relationship with Jesus; It&#8217;s that they want the relationship with Him on their own terms<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s not that fans don&#8217;t want a relationship with Jesus; It&#8217;s that they don&#8217;t want it to cost them too much.<\/li>\n<li>Fans are satisfied going through the motions &#8211; God wants your love and He longs for you to passionately pursue Him.<\/li>\n<li>The things that excite you &#8211; The things that excite you can also point to something or someone that is in competition with Jesus<\/li>\n<li>Spiritual apathy screams &#8211; I don&#8217;t care<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>B. \u00a0Is your life characterized by practicing the presence of Jesus Christ on a daily basis?<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Ongoing examination of your life before God<\/li>\n<li>Immediately confessing sin<\/li>\n<li>Striving to be right with others when problems arise<\/li>\n<li>Asking yourself, what would Jesus do in a given situation<\/li>\n<li>Prioritize your relationship with Christ above all else<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>C. \u00a0Consider the Following &#8211; Is your relationship with Christ best described as coasting or costly?<\/h4>\n<h4>D. \u00a0Commit to the change God wants in your life<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Radical:<\/strong> \u00a0Extreme change<\/li>\n<li><strong>Consistency:<\/strong> \u00a0Faithfulness over time<\/li>\n<li><strong>Commitment:<\/strong> \u00a0Putting yourself on the spot<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Quote of the Week: \u00a0&#8220;Your talk talks, and your walk talks;
