Deals with the here and now<\/li>\n<li>Eternal &#8211; Deals with God<\/li>\n<li>Two judgments: \u00a0Great White Throne (for the unsaved &#8211; Revelation 20), Judgment Seat of Christ (for the saved &#8211; Romans 14)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your child, your grandchild will spend eternity somewhere forever &#8211; You have a responsibility:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To mold and shape that young, tender heart to be receptive to the things of God.<\/li>\n<li>To instill God&#8217;s truth in their lives.<\/li>\n<li>To model the reality of an authentic relationship with Christ before them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>&#8220;You can&#8217;t give a child (no matter how much you love them) something you don&#8217;t have yourself &#8211; An authentic relationship with Jesus.&#8221; \u00a0&#8211;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.csbcva.org\/?page_id=16\" target=\"_blank\">Pastor Peyton Fitzgerald<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h4>The Greatest Commandment &#8211; verse 5<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>According to Jesus in Matthew 22:37<\/li>\n<li>Evidenced by our obedience &#8211; John 14:21a, 23a, 24a<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>These Words &#8211; verse 6a<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Today we not only have the writings of Moses buyt the complete Word of God (II Timothy 3:16)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>In Your Heart &#8211; verse 6b<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Begins by having a relationship with God through His Son Jesus &#8211; Allow Him to transform your life.<\/li>\n<li>Place the truths of God&#8217;s Word in your heart &#8211; read, heard, memorized, meditated upon and appropriated.<\/li>\n<li>Make the truths of God&#8217;s Word a part of your everyday living (See verses 17, 18a)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Teach them Diligently unto thy Children &#8211; verse 7a (Spiritual Education)<\/h4>\n<p><em>Ephesians 6:4 &#8211; &#8220;And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nurture means discipline (systematic training)<\/li>\n<li>Admonition means putting in the mind (instruction)<\/li>\n<li>Teaching the Lord&#8217;s ways through His Word.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Teach God&#8217;s Truth as a Natural Part of Life &#8211; verse 7b<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>God and His Word a natural topic of conversation<\/li>\n<li>Times of non-conflict<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Caution Against Forgetting the Lord &#8211; verse 12<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Priorities &#8211;
